[Kiei Ryu], a Korean member of Nihon University’s boxing club, died shortly after receiving a concussion of the brain during a fight with Hoichi Kanazawa, a Sanshu University boxer, in the Six-University Freshman’s Boxing Tournament at the Seinen Kaikan Hall, Harajuku, Tokyo, Wednesday night [November 13, 1940].
